Allegedly saying negative things about President Mugabe - US journalist jailed

A 25-year-old American journalist has been charged with attempting to overthrow Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe.

Martha O'Donovan had allegedly tweeted that Mugabe was "selfish and sick", this is what was used as evidence against her.

O'Donovan was charged with subversion and insulting Mugabe who is 93-years-old. She was arrested and her laptop confiscated in an early morning raid on Friday.
